Become A Foster Home:
We need foster homes where rescues can stay until a suitable forever home is found. Food, sundries and medical care are provided by DDARS. All you need to provide is the love, attention and a warm place to sleep.
Over the last nine years we have had hundreds of dogs stay with us on the way to their forever homes. Our memories are wonderful and we keep pictures of our special guests in an album which we treasure. Yes, you do get attached. But don't let that stop you. The good-byes are bittersweet. Knowing that your foster dog has found a loving forever home is a reward that you only have to experience once that will make it all worthwhile. You can then save another lonely needy animal. You'll be hooked!!

We receive no government or other institutional financial assistance. We rely on donations. All money raised goes directly to caring for the dogs. Our largest burden by far is medical costs -- vaccines, medications, spaying/
neutering, surgeries and veterinary treatments. Many of the animals we rescue need treatment for injuries and illness. Adoption fees seldom cover the costs of caring for rescued animals while in our care.
We don't have a gift to send you in return other than to simply say a heartfelt "thank you" on behalf of the animals.
Every dollar counts.
Sundries are also needed, especially paper towels (Bounty brand works best), bleach, stainless bowls and dog toys. You can drop them off at 1268 Potter Greens Drive, Edmonton, Alberta, T5T 5Y8, again with our heartfelt thanks.
